Tasting Notes: Each year winemaker Bill Eggert adds Semillon to his Sauvignon Blanc to round-out the flavours. This vintage, due to a hail storm at harvest time, the Semillon component took a dive and only makes a cameo appearance. Thus, the Sauvignon Blanc flavours are more prominent for 2009, which is alright by me. Aromas and flavours of gooseberries, grapefruit, stone fruit, and freshly-cut grass. This Sauvignon Blanc has body and a corpulent, complex texture. Layers of flavours peak through tart tinges of citrus acidity and chalky, mineral flavours.

Pair with simply-dressed seafood of all sorts. Excellent value for the price - especially when you order directly from Bill. Drink 2010-2014.
