Tasting Notes: Challenges the boundaries of labelling tenets with 25% Merlot blended in, augmenting the tannic backbone and deepening the colour. An otherwise impressive first-time Pinot with lots of earth and fruit characters to enjoy throughout. The fleshy nose brings a nice medley of red fruit, vanilla bean and woodsy aromas. The vibrant palate follows with red fruit, oak and light forest floor flavours and mouth-watering acidity, but it's a soften acidity that never verges towards an unwanted sharpness. Not overly complex or layered, but well balanced and easy-going making it a great companion for dinner. Ready to go now and likely best enjoyed in its youth. Drink now-2015.
